Jonathan Hillson currently lives and works in London. Achieving recognition for his artwork in the form of two prizes. Winning a Rowley award for achievements in Fine Art, also winning his university prize fund for his degree show work and being added to their collection.
Selected to appear in the recent graduates exhibition (affordable art fair autumn) for artists to watch for the future, also a finalist in the Lumen prize for digital artworks. Mentioned in the Sunday Telegraph for an article regarding video art.
Jonathan’s main artwork is created in the medium of video, looking at the idea of a contemporary recreation of old masters works creating a collaboration between the past, present and future. Also looking the human form within his works, exploring the subjects of equality and diversity.
