ROAR - Private View

ROAR (Rhapsody of August Riot)  is SWANFALL’s fourth annual exhibition at Mall Galleries, London, unfolding across thirteen interconnected curatorial units. Built around the idea of Risk, Rebellion, Response, Resonance and Reinvention - the exhibition explores how artists and creators respond to the conditions of their time through freedom, experimentation and imagination.

Each unit develops its own atmosphere and internal logic, moving between the everyday and the speculative, intimacy and distance, memory and anticipation, civilisation and nature, the imagined and the real. From urban experience and private interiors to altered realities, moving image and future-facing perspectives, the thirteen units come together as a rhapsodic structure of intersecting scenes, narratives and states of attention.

Rather than offering a single account of the present, ROAR creates a space in which different ways of seeing, feeling and making can coexist, collide and generate new relationships - inviting audiences to move through love and loss, intimacy…
